حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ نَافِعٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ نَزَلَ بِضَجْنَانَ فِي لَيْلَةٍ بَارِدَةٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَأَمَرَ الْمُنَادِيَ فَنَادَى أَنِ الصَّلَاةُ فِي الرِّحَالِ. قَالَ أَيُّوبُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَحَدَّثَنَا نَافِعٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا كَانَتْ لَيْلَةٌ بَارِدَةٌ أَوْ مَطِيرَةٌ أَمَرَ الْمُنَادِيَ فَنَادَى الصَّلَاةُ فِي الرِّحَالِ .

Ibn Umar رضی اللہ عنہما stayed at Dajnan (a place between Makkah and Madina) on a cold night. He commanded an announcer (to announce). He announced that the people should offer prayer in their dwellings. Ayyub said: Nafi narrated on the authority of Ibn Umar that whenever there was a cold or a rainy day night, the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم commanded the announcer (to announce). He announced to offer prayer in the dwellings.
