حَدَّثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مَالِكٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ كَذَا عِنْدَ الْقَاضِي، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالصَّوَابُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ خُسِفَتِ الشَّمْسُ فَصَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَالنَّاسُ مَعَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَامَ قِيَامًا طَوِيلًا بِنَحْوٍ مِنْ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ رَكَعَ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَسَاقَ الْحَدِيثَ.

An eclipse of the sun took place. the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم prayed along with the people. He stood up for a long time nearly equal to the recitation of Surah al Baqarah. Then bowed. The narrator then transmitted the rest of the tradition.
