حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ سَأَلْتُ أَبَا مَسْعُودٍوَهُوَ يَطُوفُ بِالْبَيْتِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ مَنْ قَرَأَ الْآيَتَيْنِ مِنْ آخِرِ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ فِي لَيْلَةٍ كَفَتَاهُ .

I asked Abu Masud رضی اللہ عنہ while he was making circumambulation of the Kabah (about the recitation of some verses from the Quran). He said: The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: If anyone recited two verses from the last of Surah al-Baqarah at night, they will be sufficient for him.
