حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ إِدْرِيسَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عِيسَى بْنِ فَائِدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عُبَادَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ مَا مِنَ امْرِئٍ يَقْرَأُ الْقُرْآنَ يَنْسَاهُ إِلَّا لَقِيَ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ أَجْذَمَ .

The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: No man recites the Quran, then forgets it, but will meet Allah on the Day of Judgment in a maimed condition (or empty-handed, or with no excuse).
