حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ مَعِينٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أُخْبِرْتُ عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَائِشَةِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ وَهِيَ تَذْكُرُ شَأْنَ خَيْبَرَ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَبْعَثُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ رَوَاحَةَ إِلَى يَهُودَ فَيَخْرُصُ النَّخْلَ حِينَ يَطِيبُ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُؤْكَلَ مِنْهُ .

While Aishah رضی اللہ عنہا was recollected the incident of Khaibar: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم used to send Abdullah Ibn Rawahah رضی اللہ عنہ to the Jews of Khaybar, and he would make an estimate of the palm trees when the fruit was in good condition before any of it was eaten.
