حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏سَأَلْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ رُكُوبِ الْهَدْيِ ؟ فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ ارْكَبْهَا بِالْمَعْرُوفِ إِذَا أُلْجِئْتَ إِلَيْهَا حَتَّى تَجِدَ ظَهْرًا .

I asked Jabir bin Abdallah رضی اللہ عنہما about riding on the sacrificial camels. He said I heard The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم saying ride on them gently when you have nothing else till you find a mount.
