حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَخْبَرَنَا يُونُسُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَخْبَرَنِي زِيَادُ بْنُ جُبَيْرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ كُنْتُ مَعَ ابْنِ عُمَرَ بِمِنًى فَمَرَّ بِرَجُلٍ وَهُوَ يَنْحَرُ بَدَنَتَهُ وَهِيَ بَارِكَةٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ ابْعَثْهَا قِيَامًا مُقَيَّدَةً سُنَّةَ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ .

I was present with Ibn Umar رضی اللہ عنہما at Minah. He passed a man who was sacrificing his camel while it was sitting. He said make it stand and tie its leg ; thus follow the practice (sunnah) of Muhammad صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم.
