حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ الصُّبَيُّ بْنُ مَعْبَدٍ:‏‏‏‏ أَهْلَلْتُ بِهِمَا مَعًا ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ عُمَرُ:‏‏‏‏ هُدِيتَ لِسُنَّةِ نَبِيِّكَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ .

I raised my voice in talbiyah for both of them (i.e. Umrah and hajj). Thereupon Umar رضی اللہ عنہ said: You were guided to the practice (sunnah) of your Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم.
