حَدَّثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ جَعْفَرٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ رَبِيعَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏بِمَعْنَاهُ. قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُد:‏‏‏‏ جَعْفَرٌ لَمْ يَسْمَعْ مِنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏كَتَبَ إِلَيْهِ.

This tradition has also been transmitted by Aishah through a different chain of narrators from the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم to the same effect. Abu Dawud said “Jafar did not hear any tradition from Al Zuhri. Al Zuhri gave him his writing. ”
