حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عَوْفٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَخْبَرَنَا شُعَيْبٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ بْنِ أَسِيدِ بْنِ جَارِيَةَ الثَّقَفِيُّ وَهُوَ حَلِيفٌ لِبَنِي زُهْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَكَانَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ.

Al Zuhri said “This tradition has been transmitted to me by Amr bin Abu Sufyan bin Usaid bin Jariyat Al Thaqafi who was an ally of Banu Zuhrah and a companion of Abu Hurairah. He then narrated the tradition. ”
