حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَخْبَرَنَا سَيَّارٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ الشَّعْبِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ كُنَّا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي سَفَرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَلَمَّا ذَهَبْنَا لِنَدْخُلَ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَمْهِلُوا حَتَّى نَدْخُلَ لَيْلًا لِكَيْ تَمْتَشِطَ الشَّعِثَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَتَسْتَحِدَّ الْمُغِيبَةُ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُد:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ الزُّهْرِيُّ:‏‏‏‏ الطُّرُوقُ بَعْدَ الْعِشَاءِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُد:‏‏‏‏ وَبَعْدَ الْمَغْرِبِ لَا بَأْسَ بِهِ.

“We were on a journey with the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم. When we were going to come to our family, he said “Stay till we enter during the night, so that the disheveled woman combs herself and the woman whose husband has been away cleans herself.
