حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قُلْتُ لِسَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ:‏‏‏‏ مَا الْأَعْضَبُ ؟ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ النِّصْفُ فَمَا فَوْقَهُ.

I asked Saeed bin al-Musayyab: What is meant by animal with a slit ear and broken horn ? He replied: Half and more than half.
