حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سَعِيدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ الْفَرَعُ أَوَّلُ النَّتَاجِ كَانَ يُنْتَجُ لَهُمْ فَيَذْبَحُونَهُ.

Fara was the first animal born to them (the Arabs) which they sacrificed.
