حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عُيَيْنَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّهُ كَانَ فِي جَنَازَةِ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي الْعَاصِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَكُنَّا نَمْشِي مَشْيًا خَفِيفًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَلَحِقَنَا أَبُو بَكْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَرَفَعَ سَوْطَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُنَا وَنَحْنُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَرْمُلُ رَمَلًا .

He attended the funeral of Uthman bin Abul As. He said: We were walking slowly. Abu Bakrah رضی اللہ عنہ then joined us and he raised his flog at us and said: You have seen us when we were with the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم. We were walking quickly.
