حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُونُسَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيل بْنُ أَبِي خَالِدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَامِرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ غَسَّلَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلِيٌّ،‏‏‏‏وَالْفَضْلُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَهُمْ أَدْخَلُوهُ قَبْرَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا مُرَحَّبٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَوِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُرَحَّبٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّهُمْ أَدْخَلُوا مَعَهُمْ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ عَوْفٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ عَلِيٌّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّمَا يَلِي الرَّجُلَ أَهْلُهُ .

Ali, Fadl and Usamah Ibn Zayd رضی اللہ عنہم washed the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم and they put him in his grave. Marhab or Ibn Abu Marhab told me that they also made Abdur Rahman Ibn Awf رضی اللہ عنہ join them. When Ali رضی اللہ عنہ became free, he said: The People of the man serve him.
