حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سَعِيدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ:‏‏‏‏ أَنَّ أُخْتَ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ بِمَعْنَى هِشَامٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَمْ يَذْكُرِ الْهَدْيَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَالَ فِيهِ:‏‏‏‏ مُرْ أُخْتَكَ فَلْتَرْكَبْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُد:‏‏‏‏ رَوَاهُ خَالِدٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ بِمَعْنَى هِشَامٍ.

The tradition about the sister of Uqbah bin Amir رضی اللہ عنہ as narrated by Hisham, but he made no mention of the sacrificial animal. In his version he said: Ask your sister to ride. Abu Dawud said: Khalid narrated it from Ikrimah to the same effect as narrated by Hisham.
