حَدَّثَنَا الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ أَبُو تَوْبَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَلَّامٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ أَبَا عَيَّاشٍ أَخْبَرَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ سَعْدَ بْنَ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ بَيْعِ الرُّطَبِ بِالتَّمْرِ نَسِيئَةً ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُد:‏‏‏‏ رَوَاهُ عِمْرَانُ بْنُ أَبِي أَنَسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مَوْلًى لِبَنِي مَخْزُومٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سَعْدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَحْوَهُ.

The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم forbade to sell fresh dates for dry dates when payment is made at a later date. Abu Dawud said: The tradition mentioned above has also been transmitted by Saad (bin Abi Waqqas) رضی اللہ عنہ from the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم through a different chain of narrators in a similar way.
