حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ خَلَّادٍ الْبَاهِلِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سَلِيمِ بْنِ حَيَّانَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مِينَاءَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ تُبَاعَ الثَّمَرَةُ حَتَّى تُشْقِحَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قِيلَ:‏‏‏‏ وَمَا تُشْقِحُ ؟، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ تَحْمَارُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَتَصْفَارُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَيُؤْكَلُ مِنْهَا .

The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم forbade the sale of fruits until they are ripened (tushqihah). He was asked: What do you mean by their ripening (ishqah)? He replied: They become red or yellow, and they are eaten.
