حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعُ بْنُ الْجَرَّاحِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا طَلْحَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَائِشَةِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي بِاللَّيْلِ وَأَنَا إِلَى جَنْبِهِ وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ وَعَلَيَّ مِرْطٌ لِي وَعَلَيْهِ بَعْضُهُ .

The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم would pray at night while I lay by his side during my menstrual period. A sheet of cloth would be partly on me and partly on him.
