حَدَّثَنَا مَخْلَدُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي عُمَرَ يَحْيَى الْبَهْرَانِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ كَانَ يُنْبَذُ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الزَّبِيبُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَيَشْرَبُهُ الْيَوْمَ وَالْغَدَ وَبَعْدَ الْغَدِ إِلَى مَسَاءِ الثَّالِثَةِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ يَأْمُرُ بِهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَيُسْقَى الْخَدَمُ أَوْ يُهَرَاقُ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُد:‏‏‏‏ مَعْنَى يُسْقَى الْخَدَمُ:‏‏‏‏ يُبَادَرُ بِه الْفَسَادَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُد:‏‏‏‏ أَبُو عُمَرَ يَحْيَى بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الْبَهْرَانِيُّ.

Raisins were steeped for the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم and he would drink it in the morning and the night after, the following day and the night after. He then gave orders and it was given to servants to drinks or poured away. Abu Dawud said: That it was given to servants to drink means before it spoiled. Abu Dawud said: Abu Umar Yahya al-Bahrani.
