حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ حَسَنٍ الْمِصِّيصِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَخْبَرَنِي رَجُلٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ جَابِرِ بَنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ خَيْبَرَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَنْ نَأْكُلَ لُحُومَ الْحُمُرِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَمَرَنَا أَنْ نَأْكُلَ لُحُومَ الْخَيْلِ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ عَمْرٌو:‏‏‏‏ فَأَخْبَرْتُ هَذَا الْخَبَرَ أَبَا الشَّعْثَاءِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَدْ كَانَ الْحَكَمُ الْغِفَارِيُّ فِينَا يَقُولُ هَذَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَبَى ذَلِكَ الْبَحْرُ يُرِيدُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ.

On the day of Khaibar the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم forbade us to eat the flesh of domestic asses, and ordered us to eat horse-flesh. Amr said: I informed Abu al-Shatha’ about this tradition. He said: Al-Hakam al-Ghifari among us said this, and the” ocean” denied that, intending thereby Ibn’ Abbas رضی اللہ عنہما .
