حَدَّثَنَا هُدْبَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْأَزْدِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قُلْنَا لِأَنَسٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مَالِكٍ أَيُّ اللِّبَاسِ كَانَ أَحَبَّ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَوْ أَعْجَبَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ؟ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ الْحِبَرَةُ .

We asked Anas bin Malik رضی اللہ عنہ : Which cloth was dearer to the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ? or Which cloth did the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم like best to wear ? He replied: The striped cloaks (hibrah).
