حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سِمَاكٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ سَمُرَةَ بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالْأَوَّلُ أَتَمُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَرَدَّهُ مَرَّتَيْنِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ سِمَاكٌ:‏‏‏‏ فَحَدَّثْتُ بِهِ سَعِيدَ بْنَ جُبَيْرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّهُ رَدَّهُ أَرْبَعَ مَرَّاتٍ.

I heard this tradition from Jabir bin Samurah رضی اللہ عنہ . But the first version is more perfect. This version has: He repeated twice, Simak said: I narrated to Saeed bin Jubair. He said: He repeated it four times.
