حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيل، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنِي يَعْلَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ. ح حَدَّثَنَازُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَعُقْبَةُ بْنُ مُكْرَمٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَا:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ سَمِعْتُ يَعْلَى يَعْنِي ابْنَ حَكِيمٍيُحَدِّثُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لِمَاعِزِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ:‏‏‏‏ لَعَلَّكَ قَبَّلْتَ أَوْ غَمَزْتَ أَوْ نَظَرْتَ ؟ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ لَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَفَنِكْتَهَا ؟ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ نَعَمْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَعِنْدَ ذَلِكَ أَمَرَ بِرَجْمِهِ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ مُوسَى:‏‏‏‏ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَهَذَا لَفْظُ وَهْبٍ.

The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said to Maiz ibn Malik رضی اللہ عنہ : Perhaps you kissed, or squeezed, or looked. He said: No. He then said: Did you have intercourse with her? He said: Yes. On the (reply) he (the Prophet) gave order that he should be stoned to death. The narrator did not mention on the authority of Ibn Abbas رضی اللہ عنہما. This is Wahb's version.
