حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحِيمِ أَبُو يَحْيَى الْبَزَّازُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ جَابِرٍ:‏‏‏‏ أَنّ رَجُلًا زَنَى بِامْرَأَةٍ فَلَمْ يَعْلَمْ بِإِحْصَانِهِ فَجُلِدَ ثُمَّ عَلِمَ بِإِحْصَانِهِ فَرُجِمَ .

A man committed fornication with a woman. It was not known that he was married. So he was flogged. It was then known that he was married, so he was stoned to death.
