حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْمُهَاجِرِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ قَائِدِ السَّائِبِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ السَّائِبِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَجَعَلُوا يُثْنُونَ عَلَيَّ وَيَذْكُرُونِّي، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ أَنَا أَعْلَمُكُمْ يَعْنِي بِهِ،‏‏‏‏ قُلْتُ:‏‏‏‏ صَدَقْتَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏بِأَبِي أَنْتَ وَأُمِّي كُنْتَ شَرِيكِي فَنِعْمَ الشَّرِيكُ كُنْتَ لَا تُدَارِي وَلَا تُمَارِي.

I came to the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم. The people began to praise me and make a mention of me. The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: I know you, that is, he knew him. I said: My father and mother be sacrificed for you! you were my partner and how good a partner; you neither disputed nor quarrelled.
