حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كَامِلٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ بِإِسْنَادِهِ وَمَعْنَاهُ نَحْوَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ كُنْتُ أَضْرِبُ غُلَامًا لِي أَسْوَدَ بِالسَّوْطِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ أَمْرَ الْعَتْقِ.

I was betting a slave of mine with a whip;" but he did not say anything about setting him face.
