حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ نَافِعٍ. ح وحَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مَالِكٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ نَافِعٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ كَانَ الرِّجَالُ وَالنِّسَاءُ يَتَوَضَّئُونَ فِي زَمَانِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ مُسَدَّدٌ:‏‏‏‏ مِنَ الْإِنَاءِ الْوَاحِدِ جَمِيعًا .

The males and females during the time of the Messenger of Allah ( sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam ) used to perform the ablution from one vessel together. The wordings from one vessel occur in the version of Musaddad.
