حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ حَسَّانَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ حَفْصَةَ بِنْتِ سِيرِينَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أُمِّ عَطِيَّةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ أَمَرَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ نُخْرِجَهُنَّ فِي يَوْمِ الْفِطْرِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالنَّحْرِ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَتْ أُمُّ عَطِيَّةَ:‏‏‏‏ فَقُلْنَا:‏‏‏‏ أَرَأَيْتَ إِحْدَاهُنَّ لَا يَكُونُ لَهَا جِلْبَابٌ؟، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَلْتُلْبِسْهَا أُخْتُهَا مِنْ جِلْبَابِهَا .

“The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) commanded us to bring them (the women) out on the day of Fitr and the day of Nahr.” Umm ‘Atiyyah رضی اللہ عنہا said: “We said: ‘What if one of them does not have an outer covering?’ He said: ‘Let her sister share her own outer covering with her.’”
