حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ بَدْرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ إِذَا اسْتَهَلَّ الصَّبِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏صُلِّيَ عَلَيْهِ وَوُرِثَ .

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “If a child utters a sound (after being born), the funeral prayer should be offered for him and (his relatives) may inherit from him.”
