حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ وَعَمْرُو بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَا:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاق، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي لَيْلَى الْكِنْدِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ جَاءَ خَبَّابٌ إِلَى عُمَرَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ ادْنُ فَمَا أَحَدٌ أَحَقَّ بِهَذَا الْمَجْلِسِ مِنْكَ إِلَّا عَمَّارٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَجَعَلَ خَبَّابٌ يُرِيهِ آثَارًا بِظَهْرِهِ مِمَّا عَذَّبَهُ الْمُشْرِكُونَ .

Khabbab رضی اللہ عنہ came to `Umar رضی اللہ عنہ and said: 'Come close, for no one deserves this meeting more than you, except `Ammar رضی اللہ عنہ .' Then Khabbab رضی اللہ عنہ started to show him the marks on his back where the idolaters had tortured him.
