حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنْبَأَنَا الثَّوْرِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَتْ قُرَيْشٌ:‏‏‏‏ نَحْنُ قَوَاطِنُ الْبَيْتِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏لَا نُجَاوِزُ الْحَرَمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ:‏‏‏‏ ثُمَّ أَفِيضُوا مِنْ حَيْثُ أَفَاضَ النَّاسُ[ سورة البقرة آية 199] .

“The Quraish said: ‘We are the neighbors of the House and we do not leave the sanctuary.’ Allah said: ‘Then depart from the place whence all the people depart.’” [2:199]
