حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ وَأَبُو خَالِدٍ الْأَحْمَرُ وَعَبْدَةُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مُجَالِدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي الْوَدَّاكِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ سَأَلْنَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الْجَنِينِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ كُلُوهُ إِنْ شِئْتُمْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَإِنَّ ذَكَاتَهُ ذَكَاةُ أُمِّهِ .

“We asked the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) about the fetus. He said: ‘Eat it if you wish, for it is considered legally slaughtered with the slaughtering of its mother.’” Abu Abdullah said: I heard Al-Khwsaj Ishaq bin Mansur saying, concerning their saying: 'No Modhimmah (claim/is) determined by the slaughter (of the mother). He (Khwsaj) said: Madhimmah spelled with Kasr in from Dhimam, meaning a claim (right); While Madammah spelled with fath (a) is from Dhamm, meaning of blame.
