حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بِشْرٍ بَكْرُ بْنُ خَلَفٍ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو حَمْزَةَ الْعَطَّارُ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ الْحَسَنِ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أُهْدِيَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَسَلٌ،‏‏‏‏ فَقَسَمَ بَيْنَنَا لُعْقَةً لُعْقَةً فَأَخَذْتُ لُعْقَتِي،‏‏‏‏ ثُمَّ قُلْتُ:‏‏‏‏ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ،‏‏‏‏ أَزْدَادُ أُخْرَى،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ نَعَمْ .

“Some honey was given as a gift to the Prophet (ﷺ), and he shared among us spoonful by spoonful. I took my spoonful then I said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, can I have another?’ He said: ‘Yes.’”
