حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي الْخَصِيبِ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ مُبَارَكٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ الْحَسَنِ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ الْحُصَيْنِ،‏‏‏‏ أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ،‏‏‏‏ رَأَى رَجُلًا فِي يَدِهِ حَلْقَةٌ مِنْ صُفْرٍ،‏‏‏‏ فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ مَا هَذِهِ الْحَلْقَةُ؟ ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ هَذِهِ مِنَ الْوَاهِنَةِ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ انْزِعْهَا فَإِنَّهَا لَا تَزِيدُكَ إِلَّا وَهْنًا .

The Prophet (ﷺ) saw a man with a brass ring on his hand. He said: “What is this ring?” He said: “It is for Wahinah.”* He said: “Take it off, for it will only increase you in weakness.”
