حَدَّثَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا عُفَيْرُ بْنُ مَعْدَانَ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ،‏‏‏‏ أَنَّ امْرَأَةً أَتَتِ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَخْبَرَتْهُ،‏‏‏‏ أَنَّ زَوْجَهَا فِي بَعْضِ الْمَغَازِي،‏‏‏‏ فَاسْتَأْذَنَتْهُ أَنْ تُصَوِّرَ فِي بَيْتِهَا نَخْلَ،‏‏‏‏ فَمَنَعَهَا أَوْ نَهَاهَا .

A woman came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and told him that her husband was away on some military campaign. She asked him for permission to make an image of a palm tree in her house, and he did not let her, or he forbade her.
