حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ بُرَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ احْتَرَقَ بَيْتٌ بِالْمَدِينَةِ عَلَى أَهْلِهِ،‏‏‏‏ فَحُدِّثَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِشَأْنِهِمْ،‏‏‏‏ فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّمَا هَذِهِ النَّارُ عَدُوٌّ لَكُمْ،‏‏‏‏ فَإِذَا نِمْتُمْ فَأَطْفِئُوهَا عَنْكُمْ .

A house burned down in Al-Madinah, with its occupants inside. The Prophet(ﷺ) was told of what had happened, and he said: 'This fire is an enemy to you. When you go to sleep, extinguish it.'
