حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ عَلْقَمَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَبْدِ خَيْرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَلِيٍّ:‏‏‏‏ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَوَضَّأَ فَمَضْمَضَ ثَلَاثًا وَاسْتَنْشَقَ ثَلَاثًا مِنْ كَفٍّ وَاحِدٍ .

The Messenger of Allah performed ablution and he rinsed his mouth three times, and sniffed water up into his nose three times from one handful.
