حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ أَبِي حَصِينٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ تَعِسَ عَبْدُ الدِّينَارِ،‏‏‏‏ وَعَبْدُ الدِّرْهَمِ،‏‏‏‏ وَعَبْدُ الْقَطِيفَةِ،‏‏‏‏ وَعَبْدُ الْخَمِيصَةِ،‏‏‏‏ إِنْ أُعْطِيَ رَضِيَ،‏‏‏‏ وَإِنْ لَمْ يُعْطَ لَمْ يَفِ .

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Wretched is the slave of the Dinar and the slave of the Dirham, and the slave of velvet and the slave of the Khamisah.* If he is given, he is pleased and if he is not given, he does not fulfill (his oath of allegiance).”
