حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مَرْوَانَ الْعُثْمَانِيُّ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَبِي سَلَمَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ إِذَا أُقِيمَتِ الصَّلَاةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَلَا تَأْتُوهَا وَأَنْتُمْ تَسْعَوْنَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأْتُوهَا تَمْشُونَ وَعَلَيْكُمُ السَّكِينَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَمَا أَدْرَكْتُمْ فَصَلُّوا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَمَا فَاتَكُمْ فَأَتِمُّوا .

The Messenger of Allah said: When the Iqamah is called for the prayer, do not come running. Come walking with tranquility. Whatever you catch up with, pray, and whatever you miss, complete it.
