وَعَنْ أُمُّ كُلْثُومٍ بِنْتُ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ أَبِي مَعِيطٍ قَالَتْ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «لَيْسَ الْكَذَّابُ الَّذِي يُصْلِحُ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ وَيَقُولُ خَيْرًا وَيَنْمِي خَيْرًا» . مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ. وَزَادَ مُسْلِمٌ قَالَتْ: وَلَمْ أَسْمَعْهُ - تَعْنِي النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يُرَخِّصُ فِي شَيْءٍ مِمَّا يَقُولُ النَّاسُ كَذِبٌ إِلَّا فِي ثَلَاثٍ: الْحَرْبُ وَالْإِصْلَاحُ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ وَحَدِيثُ الرَّجُلِ امْرَأَتَهُ وَحَدِيثُ الْمَرْأَةِ زَوْجَهَا
