حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمٌ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ، قَالَ اسْتُصْغِرْتُ أَنَا وَابْنُ، عُمَرَ‏.‏

I and Ibn `Umar رضی اللہ عنہما were considered too young to take part in the battle of Badr.
