حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ الْمَكِّيُّ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ حَدَّثَنِي وَهْبُ بْنُ مُنَبِّهٍ وَدَخَلْتُ عَلَيْهِ فِي دَارِهِ بِصَنْعَاءَ فَأَطْعَمَنِي مِنْ جَوْزَةٍ فِي دَارِهِ عَنْ أَخِيهِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنَ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ.

When I entered upon him in his house in Sana and he gave me some nuts to eat-that his brother said: 'I heard Muawiyah bin Abi Sufyan says: "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, While he was delivering a Khutbah: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "When Allah wants good for a person, he cause him to understand Islam.
