وحَدَّثَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ هِلَالٍ، عَنْ مُطَرِّفٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ لِي عِمْرَانُ بْنُ حُصَيْنٍ أُحَدِّثُكَ حَدِيثًا عَسَى اللهُ أَنْ يَنْفَعَكَ بِهِ: إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ «جَمَعَ بَيْنَ حَجَّةٍ وَعُمْرَةٍ، ثُمَّ لَمْ يَنْهَ عَنْهُ حَتَّى مَاتَ، وَلَمْ يَنْزِلْ فِيهِ قُرْآنٌ يُحَرِّمُهُ، وَقَدْ كَانَ يُسَلَّمُ عَلَيَّ، حَتَّى اكْتَوَيْتُ، فَتُرِكْتُ، ثُمَّ تَرَكْتُ الْكَيَّ فَعَادَ».

I am narrating to you a hadith by which Allah will benefit you (and the hadith is) that Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌) combined Hajj and 'Umra, and he did not forbid (this combination) till he died. (Moreover) nothing was revealed in the Holy Qur'an which forbade it. And I was always blessed till I was branded and then it (blessing) was abandoned. I then abandoned branding and it (the blessing was restored).
