وحَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَاتِمٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي عُبَيْدٍ، مَوْلَى سَلَمَةَ بْنِ الْأَكْوَعِ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِسَلَمَةَ: عَلَى أَيِّ شَيْءٍ بَايَعْتُمْ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ الْحُدَيْبِيَةِ؟ قَالَ: «عَلَى الْمَوْتِ».
