حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ، وَقُتَيْبَةُ، وَابْنُ حُجْرٍ، وَاللَّفْظُ لِابْنِ أَيُّوبَ، قَالُوا: حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ وَهُوَ ابْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ دِينَارٍ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ، يَقُولُ: كُنَّا نُبَايِعُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى السَّمْعِ وَالطَّاعَةِ، يَقُولُ لَنَا: «فِيمَا اسْتَطَعْتَ».
