حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ، بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ، قَالَتْ: اسْتَأْذَنَ حَسَّانُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ، النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي هِجَاءِ الْمُشْرِكِينَ، وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ أَبَا سُفْيَانَ، وَقَالَ بَدَلَ - الْخَمِيرِ - الْعَجِينِ.

Hassan bin Thabit رضی اللہ عنہ sought permission from Allah's Apostle ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌) to satirise against the polytheists, but he did not mention Abu Sufyan. And instead of the word al- Khamir, the word al-'Ajin was used.
