حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رُمْحٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، أَنَّ عَبْدًا لِحَاطِبٍ جَاءَ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَشْكُو حَاطِبًا فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ لَيَدْخُلَنَّ حَاطِبٌ النَّارَ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «كَذَبْتَ لَا يَدْخُلُهَا، فَإِنَّهُ شَهِدَ بَدْرًا وَالْحُدَيْبِيَةَ».

A slave of Hatib رضی اللہ عنہ came to Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) complaining against Hatib رضی اللہ عنہ and said: Hatib رضی اللہ عنہ will definitely go to Hell. (But) Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) said: You tell a lie; he would not get into that for he had taken part in Badr and in (the expedition of) Hudaibiya.
