حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ بَحْرٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو دَاوُدَ، حَدَّثَنَا حَرْبُ بْنُ شَدَّادٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو سَلَمَةَ، أَنَّ أَبَا أُسَيْدٍ الْأَنْصَارِيَّ، حَدَّثَهُ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «خَيْرُ الْأَنْصَارِ، أَوْ خَيْرُ دُورِ الْأَنْصَارِ» بِمِثْلِ حَدِيثِهِمْ، فِي ذِكْرِ الدُّورِ، وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ قِصَّةَ سَعْدِ بْنِ عُبَادَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ.

He heard Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌) as saying: The worthiest of the Ansar or the worthiest of the settlements and the clans of Ansar; the rest of the hadith is the same, but there is no mention of the story of Sa'd bin 'Ubida (رضی اللہ عنہ).
