و حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الْحَمِيدِ بْنُ بَيَانٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ يَعْنِي الطَّحَّانَ عَنْ سُهَيْلٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَأْمُرُنَا إِذَا أَخَذْنَا مَضْجَعَنَا أَنْ نَقُولَ بِمِثْلِ حَدِيثِ جَرِيرٍ وَقَالَ مِنْ شَرِّ كُلِّ دَابَّةٍ أَنْتَ آخِذٌ بِنَاصِيَتِهَا.

Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌) used to command us that as we go to our bed, we should utter the words (as mentioned above) and he also said (these words): From the evil of every animal, Thou hast hold upon its forelock (Thou bast full control over it).
